JOAN Hunt has carried off the ladies’ championship at Evesham.
Hunt shot a gross score of 184 to win the coveted title as 20 members battled it out over two days for the club competition.
The greens played fast thanks to the club’s staff who had worked tirelessly to get the course in tip-top condition.
The weather was also kind with a mixture of sunshine, cloud and a little rain.
While Hunt took the main prize Ruth Masters was also in excellent form and finished runner-up after carding a gross score of 189.
Lesley Kewley also tasted success, achieving the best nett score with 149, while Penny Osborne finished second after returning 151.
Margaret Roberts with a nett score of 71 won the Greenhill Trophy from Patsy Brumage in second on 72.
