EVESHAM United drew their Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West opener 2-2 at Bath outfit Larkhall Athletic after hitting back from two goals down.
The Larks went in front when confusion in the Evesham box resulted in centre-half Leroy Odiero heading into his own net on 11 minutes.
The second half was end-to-end and the visitors had a goal disallowed early in the period.
Strong play from Matt Groves enabled Cory Simpson to cross into the box for George King to fire into the top corner on 63 minutes to put the hosts 2-0 up.
In the 78th minute the Robins exploited a mix-up in the home defence to narrow the gap to 2-1 through Bradley Gray.
Evesham equalised through summer signing Matthew Liddiard after sustained pressure with five minutes left to secure an away point for Paul Collicutt's side.
