TEENAGER Ethan Etherington won Evesham Jubilee Angling Society’s Grant Davis Memorial Cup match.

In only his second visit to Jubilee Fishery the 16-year-old picked Jubilee pool peg 15 and triumphed with 33lb 11oz 0dr.

Second was Steve Allen with 31-5 ahead of Ray Nosworthy with 30-10 and Gary Seadon with the top weight off the Withies pool of 30-8.

Sections winners were James Allen with 30-1, Colin Perry with 27-15, Alan Gardner with 19-13, James Gardner with 16-9 and Bob Haynes on Phil’s pool with 2-8.

The charity barbecue and raffle raised over £600 on the day and many of Grant’s friends and family joined the anglers for food and drinks.

His family organised the barbecue and Mark Birbeck ran the match.

To date over the last 13 years this match has been a very well-supported event and during this time over £10,000 has been raised for St Richards Hospice in Grant's memory.

Stuart Robinson carried on his winning ways by claiming Evesham WMC’s sixth aggregate match at Drakes Broughton with small carp and F1s for 22-8.

Rob Andrews caught carp up in the water finishing with 21-13 having lost five big specimens in the island.

Vic Woods had 21-9 of carp fishing up to the island.
