OVERBURY held their bowls club championship finals day on a sunny, hot day.
Dan Mason secured the men’s title 21-20 on the last end against Stu Yapp after a hard-fought match.
The men’s handicap was a repeat match with Mason winning on a one-end shootout.
The women’s championship had to be postponed when one of the contenders was hospitalised.
In the men’s pairs Mike Mace and Neil Williams beat Albert England and Mason 21-10.
The women’s two-wood championship saw Jan Droy and Barbara Baldwin win over Daphne Hayward and Gillian Pearce.
In the mixed pairs Yapp and Daphne Hayward triumphed 23-14 over Barry and Sue Robinson.
Pete Jones became the veterans’ champion when he defeated Tony Brown 21-15.
