STORM Brian failed to prevent a great turnout for Broadway’s Adult Junior Foursomes Trophy.

Eighteen pairs fought the strong winds with great enthusiasm.

Despite the wild conditions, there were some impressive scores returned.

Mike Humpston and eight-year-old James Sutherland stormed in with 41 points to give them a clear lead ahead of Stephen Moore and Max Carter along with Dave Coleman and Ambrose Eaves who both earned 40 points to take second and third respectively.

The following teams went on to take the next three placings with Richard Preen and Kieran Nelhams, Dan Eaves and Ryan Wright and Bernard Donoghue and Sonny Nangle all on 39.

Annabelle Carter won Broadway's Margaret Roberts Trophy in the competition using just three clubs and a putter.

Carter clearly made some excellent choices with her clubs as she brought in an outstanding winning score of 36 points.

Ladies' captain Brenda Corfield was a close second with 34 while Andi Stedman earned third with 33 ahead of the fourth-placed Fran Andrews with 31.
