TRAVIS Head will look to transfer his fine ODI form into T20 cricket when Australia return to action in the Zimbabwe Twenty20 Tri-Series next week.

The Worcestershire 2018 overseas player is one of the youngest members of a 14-strong squad who will be competing against the host nation and Pakistan.

Only Jhye Richardson and Billy Stanlake are younger than 24-year-old Head with Aaron Finch leading the side.

Australia will play a maximum of five T20s in a week if they reach the final.

It will mean Head being well tuned in to the short format of the game for when he returns to Blackfinch New Road for the Vitality Blast.

Head was one of the few Australian batsmen among the runs in the ODI Series against England this month.

He scored three successive half-centuries in his country’s 5-0 whitewash by Eoin Morgan’s number one ranked side.

Head then made 15 in the solitary T20 at Edgbaston.

All the matches will be played in Harare including the final on July 8.

Head played five Specsavers County Championship and four Royal London One-Day Cup games for Worcestershire before linking up with Australia.
