HARVINGTON Golf Society members avoided the thunderstorms when they returned to The South Staffordshire for their mid-summer fixture.
The morning practice round saw three golfers tied on 20 points in Rob Millward, Fred Fawkes and visitor Andy Smith with the latter taking the spoils on countback
After lunch members competed for the Challenge Plate and the age-related Councillors Cup.
The stellar three-ball of Smith, Fawkes and Steve Cantrill filled the podium.
Smith had 45 points but could not win the silverware as a visitor so Fawkes' score of 38 secured both trophies while Cantrill was third with 34.
Warwick Holland, Tony Stanley and Trevor Sidwell also featured at the prize presentation.
