BOBBY Webb was crowned men's club champion at Broadway.

Fifty competitors stepped out for the 36-hole event in high temperatures after it was postponed the previous week due to torrential rain.

Webb scored 143 gross to win the championship salver ahead of Will Icke with 147.

Nett leader was Mark Magee with 136 to claim the Peter Ward Putter.

Forty-three Broadway ladies competed for the Kathleen Stockdale Trophy in pleasant conditions.

Debbie Donoghue brought in 32 points to seal the Silver Division win ahead of Sonia Ward with 31 and Jenny Brindley with 30.

Angela Sollis won the Bronze Division with 38 to win the trophy overall with Camilla Haines managing 37 and Irene Hawkes 34.

Judith Noyce took top placing in the ladies' stableford with 39 points ahead of Vicky Watkins with 36.

The juniors competed in the George Sloggett Trophy over a four-ball better-ball format.

Jackson Wojahn-Parker and Ambrose Eaves scored 40 points to clinch the trophy.
