NATHAN Vaughan, who left Evesham United for Halesowen Town during the close season, will be back between the sticks for the Robins when they take on Chippenham Town at St George's Lane tonight.
Vaughan featured in several friendly matches for The Yeltz but failed to make the squad for Saturday's opening day 1-0 defeat to Tiverton Town However, the goalkeeper won't be able to play at Halesowen on Monday after completing his return to Evesham yesterday.
"I wasn't 100 per cent convinced with the current goalkeeping situation and, after long negotiations with Halesowen who agreed to waive the seven-day rule, Nathan is back with us," manager Paul West explained.
Karl Lewis, who played in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bedford Town and who signed a contract following his summer move from Bromsgrove, was told of Vaughan's arrival this morning and his future with the club is unsure.
West added that Dave Adey, named goalkeeping coach during the close season, will keep goal on Monday.
