BROADWAY edged closer to regaining the Concorde League title with a superlative performance against Hewell on Saturday when they won on all five rinks for an emphatic 99-shot success.
Colin Cooper was in imperious form as his rink strolled to a 38-7 victory.
Leaing 10-1 up after five ends, the front end of Dave Leroy and Terry Morley made life easy for Cooper as they scored 17 shots without reply mid match to win comfortably.
Richard Hall, fresh from two wins at Worthing in the National Pairs Championships, was too strong for Mike Rowe as he finished strongly with a net 14 shots in the last half of the game to win 27-8.
Mark Rainbow, who has been in impressive form of late, was 2-1 down after three ends but Bob Niblock didn't score again for 14 ends as Rainbow surged into a 22-2 lead.
The closing ends were shared as Rainbow ran out a 20-shot winner.
Dennis Hall was never headed in his game and was 12-2 up after five ends which became 19-4 after ten.
A comeback by his opponent reduced the deficit to 20-11 at 15 ends but a five and a three on two of the last six ends pushed Hall to a 30-14 victory.
Andrew Walters was always in a close game and there was never more than a couple of shots in the score all the way through.
At 17 ends, it was 17-17 but Walters finished with a flourish to score 13 shots in the last four ends to seal a 30-17 triumph.
The overall 152-53 winning margin almost certainly means Broadway will win the title but Bredon still have a slim mathematical chance of overtaking them if they win all their remaining games and rinks.
