Print nets four as Sports make their mark

WICKHAMFORD Sports have returned to the league after several years absence and are beginning to make their mark in Division Four.

one of the most successful clubs in the league’s history, Sports produced a seven-goal performance at Stour Excelsior where Matt Print led the way with four goals.

Black Bear netted twice in the last two minutes to draw at Pebworth after Sprigg(2) and Daniel-Smith had scored for the home team.

Tesco United march on at the top of the third division as Morris, Charman, Colston and Scrivens all scored twice as they trounced Eckington 8-2.

Four goals from Lawson saw Defford and Besford edge out Broadway Utd Reserves in a seven-goal thriller while Johns and Gregg were on target for Ashton as they defeated WMK 2-1.

Honeybourne Gate Inn won their second division clash at Tewkesbury Town 5-2 with Haines (2), Ballard and Rainey on target for the winners.

Bretforton Old Boys were made to work for the Division One points at Broadway where Daryl Mitchell scored twice.

There was a further goal from Simon Brain but goals from Buckland and Horsburgh ensured a tense finish.

Upton Snodsbury produced their best display of the season as they thrashed Bear 6-2 thanks to goals from Zujovic (2), Aldington, Dallard, McLean and Davies.

Mickleton Rangers progressed in the Knockout Cup but were made to work by fourth division Anchor Fladbury before recording a 2-1 victory.

Holders Red Horse progressed in the Worcester Nursing Cup along with Crowle, while Ambassador reached the last four of the Pershore Hospital Junior Cup after comfortably defeating Bengeworth Rovers.

In the Minor Cup, Riverside and Cider Mill won through to the second round where Inkberrow, Pinvin United, Badsey Rec, Bredon and Offenham Rovers all recorded wins to reach the last eight.
