SECOND Division Golden Cross are pressing for back to back promotions in the Birdseye Sports Evesham and District Sunday League.
The Harvington-based side moved second after a convincing 5-1 win at Bredon where a Hanna treble and further goals from Onens and Ellis earned the win.
Tewkesbury Town moved off the bottom courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Alderton thanks to goals from Pettitt, McCabe and Hewett.
Leaders Honeybourne Gate Inn came from two down to earn a point at Cider Mill who led through goals from Wright and Cross before Ballard and Williams levelled matters.
A double from Firkin kept Inkberrow in touch with the leaders as they defeated Karma 4-2 and goals from Hickman and Burrows earned Offenham Rovers the points against Pinvin.
Ashton moved four points clear in Division Three after a 3-1 victory at Badsey Rec where first half goals from Haines, Gregg and Bromfield proved enough.
Lenches Lions gained a welcome 3-1 win at the expense of WMK with Waghorn scoring twice Broadway Utd Reserves defeated Riverside 3-1 thanks to goals from Craig, Vareh and Parker.
Division Four leaders Northway took the spoils in an excellent game with Anchor Fladbury. Goals from Wilson and Beasley put Northway in charge before Anchor fought back with strikes from Staite and Nightingale but a Shaw penalty edged the game in the home side’s way.
Black Bear are second following a convincing 13-2 win over George and Dragon with Brazdy, Arnold and Sallis all scoring hat-tricks.
Wickhamford Sports hit five against Pebworth with the goals coming from Last, Hemming, Jones, Print and Gibbons.
Bretforton Old Boys are now eight points clear in Division One following a 4-1 victory at Bear with Paul Jones scoring twice.
Evesham WMC thumped Broadway 8-0 with Joynes (3) and Scott (2) among the scorers.
Ambassador progressed in the Evesham Mechanical Services Knockout Cup as Tom Heath hit a treble in a comfortable 5-1 win at Stour Excelsior.
