BADSEY’S lead at the top of the Wor-cestershire Cricket Centre Indoor League looked unassailable after last week’s victory.
The summit side comfortably defeated Great Alne who failed to build on the momentum of Temple’s quickly retired 25 and only posted 100-4 in their 12 overs.
Badsey completed victory in the tenth over thanks to 32 from Witts, Nick Powell's 26 and Smith's 21.
Harvington moved up to third in the table after defeating winless Broadway.
They posted 146-4 thanks to Waters (46) and Fisher (40) and their oppo-nents were never up with the required run rate and finished on 111-4 with Evans top scoring with 32.
The battle for runners-up spot is currently being won by Ashton who defeated five-man Exhall in the night’s final game.
Despite the early loss of Cooper, Ash-ton took advantage of their numerical advantage in the field as they rattled up 148-4 with Wood (36) and Archer (34) the chief contributors.
Exhall made it a good contest but eventually finished 18 runs short of victory on 131-3 thanks to the efforts of Mulraine (48), Gwynn (42) and Mullett (23).
