Evesham Under 16s

Impressive scrum-half Jack Witts Impressive scrum-half Jack Witts

Evesham Under 16s lost 17-12 at Broadstreet in a game that could have gone either way. Superb defence from Wilf Watson, Matt Camp, Ash Icke, Dom Berry, Alex Tarplee and James Williamson could not prevent the hosts from crossing the whitewash twice in the first 30 minutes to take a 12-0 lead. Evesham hit back when Jake Shotton was tackled just short off the line but impressive scrum-half Jack Witts was on hand to score. In the second-half, Callum Barnett scored and Mike Harris’ conversion levelled the scores. A last-ditch tackle from Jay Hann prevented a certain Street try but they got the decisive score with just three minutes left.
