Pershore seconds secured only their third ENER-G West Midlands Men’s Hockey League Division Two win of the season, triumphing 3-0 at Wednesbury.
Steve Quantrell and Tom Quantrell proved a constant threat down the right flank as Ail Sanderson hit the post twice in the first-half.
Rob Handley opened the scoring with a controlled flick after a jinking run and Pershore’s defence saw off the opposition with the central partnership of Andy Wright and Mike Handley looking assured. Sanderson forced two excellent saves before Tom Quantrell doubled Pershore's advantage.
Tommy Handley provided the through-ball for Sanderson to score a deserved third goal.
The firsts lost 4-2 at home to leaders Whitchurch in West Midlands Division Two with Ed Deacon and Anthony Handley on target.
Pershore thirds drew 2-2 with Evesham in Central League West Midlands Division Two and 0-0 with Stafford the next day.
