NEW touch rugby equipment has been handed to Pershore by the RFU to recognise the club’s status as a growing centre for the non-contact sport.

Ten balls, two sets of coloured bibs, cones for pitch marking, a referee’s whistle, stopwatch, starter horn and ball pump make up the bag of tricks.

Pershore are offering touch rugby for males too and, in addition to hosting a round of the South Worcestershire O2 touch festival with Bredon, Evesham and Upton during this summer, have organised an open tournament on Sunday, July 8, from 10am until 4pm.

Anyone can enter a mixed team at no cost, made up of six players with unlimited substitutions, of any age or ability.

Pershore have three taster sessions at the club on Sunday mornings from 10am until noon for anyone wanting to have a go at the game or brush up their skills.

For more details on taking part, men can contact Karl Evans on 07788-140830 or women can contact Fizz Bewley on 01905-381080.
