Evesham win over Shipston

EVESHAM defeated Shipstonon- Stour 3-1 in the South Warwickshire Summer Tennis League.

But Shipston also picked up a 3-1 win over their rivals for third place, Claverdon.

Division One leaders Chipping Campden beat Bidfordon- Avon 3-1 and Inkberrow drew 2-2 with Studley.

Chipping Campden ‘B’ moved to within two points of the top of Division Three after they were awarded a 4-0 walk-over against Henley ‘B’, who failed to field a team.

Third-placed Shipston ‘B’ defeated Wildmoor Spa 3-1.

In Division Four as top side Inkberrow ‘B’ reached 29 points despite drawing against their ‘C’ team. Second-placed Moreton-in-Marsh closed a point nearer to the leaders when they beat Alcester ‘C’ 3-1.

Snitterfield ‘B’ drew 2-2 with bottom side Chipping Campden ‘C’ and HDA Redditch tied with Pershore ‘B’.

In Division Five, Bidford ‘B’ beat Moreton ‘B’ 3-1.
