PERSHORE reclaimed the Worcestershire Cricket League Division One leadership after an 87-run win over Hagley.

The hosts scored 198-8 from 50 overs before dismissing their opponents for 111 to claim the maximum 24 points.

Tim Smith was again the bowling hero with 4-50 from 11 overs following his stunning haul of 8-57 in the surprise defeat at Colwall the previous week.

Robert Tidey weighed in with 3-44, Darren Critcher a quick 2-1 and Luke Dalley 1-13 from 11 tight overs.

Earlier, David White (30), Chris Ayliffe (26), Tidey (38) and skipper Chris Ridings (39) lifted the innings.

Aly Duddell (15 not out) and Tom Pilling (11no) ensured the title-chasers had enough to bowl at.

Pershore seconds won by seven wickets at Stourport in Division Two after bowling the home side out for 161.
