MORE than 100 players braved torrential rain for a three-ball alliance in the annual Broadway ladies’ open.

Belinda Rouse, Pat Aprile (Stratford Oaks) and Jo Fisher (Redditch) won with 75 points ahead of Pat Kent, Veronica Rudd (Broadway) and Val Walker (Stratford Oaks) on 74.

Third on 69 were Broadway lady captain Chris Moulder, club-mate Lin Andrew and Judy Thomas (Cotswold Hills). The nearest-the-pin awards went to Linda Everett and Debbie Donoghue.
