THREE Evesham-based Worcester club members tackled the Marlborough Fast Twitch Triathlon.

Michelle Parsons claimed a women’s victory over a 400- metre pool swim, 20-mile bike race and five-mile run.

The Evesham ace made up a two-minute deficit after the swim with the fastest female bike split at 57 minutes 25 seconds before an impressive 29.42 on the run course.

Her one hour 35 minutes 16 seconds total time meant a three-minute winning margin.

Evesham’s Iain Jennings led the Worcester members home with an excellent swim of under six minutes.

He put in the ninth quickest bike split before a superb 25.26 run to finish in 1.25.48 for fifth overall and first in his age category.

Worcester, who also included Phil Parsons, edged out Army Tri Association for the first team victory at the event by a mixed line-up.
