EVESHAM Vale’s Roy Betts and Christine Lloyd tackled the Snowdon mountain race.

On a sunny morning, the pair climbed 3,500 feet to the summit over five miles before returning to the start.

Betts recovered from a fall to finish in one hour 48 minutes and Lloyd was sixth in her age group in 2.24.

In the Bourton One Mile Challenge in the Cotswolds, John Peacock was second in his age group in five minutes 38 seconds and Kurt Dusterhoff 17th overall in 5.23.
