VALE rider Clive Wadey made a return to motorbike racing at Mallory Park after a four-year break.

The Bretforton speedster qualified in fourth in the East Midland Racing Association Earlystocks and came out of the first corner leading the first race on his Suzuki.

Wadey held the advantage for five laps but finished second after reigning champion Alec Gilfillan slipped past on the back straight.

The second race followed a similar pattern with Wadey second behind Gilfillan.
