ROSIE Armitage of Team Echelon-Rotor won the Echelon Cycles 10-mile time trial on the Dunnington Cross- Norton-Salford Priors-Arrow course.

She recorded a time of 23 minutes 21 seconds, beating team-mate Michelle Parsons (24.04) into second place.

The men’s race was won by Scott Westwood of Walsall RCC in 20.44 with Echelon junior Tom Ward recording the second fastest time with 20.57 for second.

Team-mate Tim Wood was third in 21.02 and Alan Warburton’s 21.25 helped secure Echelon the team prize. In total, 95 riders took part.

Ward registered a time of 21.19 on the same course in the Midland Championships junior event, the fastest time by almost two minutes.

In the women’s event, Armitage had to settle for second place in 23.24.
