Relief as Evesham avoid the drop zone

EVESHAM avoided joining Pershore in being relegated to Division One of the South Warwickshire Summer Tennis League.
Despite losing 3-1 to Stratford ‘B’, the Abbey Road club finished on equal points with their opponents and stayed up following Henley’s 4-0 defeat to Premier Division champions Stratford ‘A’.
Littleton won promotion from Division One and Chipping Campden pipped Bidford to the other promotion place by three points.
With Inkberrow only drawing with Littleton, the door was ajar for Studley and they squeezed through it to edge out of the relegation zone by a single point with a 4-0 win over Whitnash. Inkberrow and Whitnash are relegated.
Division Two champions Alcester ‘B’ were joined in the promotion places by Aston Cantlow. Ullenhall and Littleton ‘B’ are relegated.
Studley ‘B’ finished 12 points clear at the top of Division Three with a 3-1 victory over Chipping Campden ‘B’, who clung on to the second promotion spot’.
Henley ‘B’ will join Littleton ‘B’ in Division Four next year. Coming up will be Inkberrow ‘B’ and Moreton, while Inkberrow ‘C’ and Chipping Campden ‘C’ were relegated. from division four.
Division Five champions Ardencote ‘B’ were joined in promotion by Claverdon ‘C’.
