BREDON maintained their 100 per cent record in the Worcestershire Indoor League Evesham Division.

But they only won with three balls left after replying with 106-3 to Harvington’s 105 all out.

Openers Dave Waters and Simon Rickett (12) took Harvington to 39 before the latter was run-out.

Elliott Thompson and Waters moved the score on to 61-1 after six overs. Sam Bannister (13) added runs but Harvington’s rate declined and three wickets in three overs left them marooned on 87-5 from 10.

Waters (37) returned but was well caught by Jamie Diamond off Martin Hill.

In reply, Harvington just failed to contain Bredon’s lower order.

They started off like a train with Hill (28 not out) and Clive Fenney (23) posting 60 from six overs.

Fenney was run-out but Jamie Munro (19) and Diamond (24) carried on the good work.

Waters had Munro caught and bowled in his 1-17 from three overs but Bredon took the points.

In the other game, Stanway Boxmen (95-5) lost to Feckenham (96-5) with two balls remaining.

Boxmen started in promising fashion until fine fielding from Alex Richardson forced a run-out in the second over.

After John Lawrence’s dismissal for 24, Muhammed Idress bowled Dave Bull with a swinging yorker.

Idress caught Pete Green in the fourth over off Richardson’s bowling to reduce Boxmen to 37-3.

Nick Clark followed on 49-4 but Mike Banks (29 no) and Tim Cull (22) fought a valiant rearguard before the latter was caught and bowled by Idress (2-18).

In reply, Ben Adshead (17) was stumped but Feckenham were in touch on 48-2 at halfway.

Regular run-outs followed but last-man Luke Jackson (33no) was man-of-the-match with the help of 23 wides.
