PERSHORE brushed aside lowly Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social by eight wickets in their Worcestershire Cricket League Division One title charge.

Taylor Pugh took 4-19 off 10 overs as the visitors were bowled out for 150, with Chris Ayliffe (55 not out) and Matthew Brace (59no) leading the successful reply.

Pershore’s effort inside 22 overs maintained their 42-point lead at the top of the table from Worcester Nomads.

In Division Two, leaders Bredon, who are 15 points in front, struck a blow in the title race with a six-run home win over fellow challengers Stourport.

Opener Martyn Draper (73) and Martin Hill (68) powered Bredon to 296-7 from 50 overs before the visitors fell short on 290 all out, with the wickets shared around.

Evesham are 51 points clear of the relegation zone after a five-wicket success over mid-table Feckenham, as Mohammed Fahim Maan (67) top scored for the hosts in their winning reply of 213-5.
