THE Worcestershire League Second XI Division One leaders Stourport returned to action with a big victory at home to Hagley.

Resident run machine Spencer Colley recorded another century as he made 135 and he needs just nine to become the leading all- time scorer in the division.

He could also have his sights on Zak O’Neill of Kempsey firsts, who is still 19 ahead in the 2015 season’s league highest runs scored.

Stourport are once again more than a 20-point win in front of Worcester Nomads, who were unable to get the last wicket and held to a draw by Enville.

Nomads have drawn seven out of the 10 draw-format matches, more than any other team in the league this year.

Stourport need just four points at Colwall on Saturday to clinch the title.

The top two are well ahead of the field led by Colwall, who defeated Redditch thanks to 87 and 4-56 from new player A Martin- Jones.

Elsewhere, Bewdley beat Evesham, Netherton defeated Pedmore and Belbroughton saw off Rushwick.

In Division Two, Pershore, having already celebrated the title, lost for the first time in an excellent game at Avoncroft, where the home side chased the visi - tors’ total of 247 to win.

Coombs Wood stayed second by winning at Bromyard, which allowed Droitwich to close in on third place despite being held to a draw by Lye.

In other games, Burghill and Tillington beat Cookley and Feckenham beat Alvechurch and Hopwood.

Bredon trounced Harborne thanks to an all-round perfor - mance by Alex Antonelli, who followed his 6-57 with 71 to steer his side to victory.

In Division Three, leaders Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social tied up the title with a five-wicket win over visiting Wormelow with Matt Fradgely taking 6-38.

Kidderminster Victoria in second had to be content with a losing draw at Bromsgrove.

Chaddesley Corbett beat Himley and Worcester Dominies saw off Alveley with Anthony Doyle scoring 66 to add to his three wickets.

Division Four leaders Kempsey beat Himbleton and Five Ways Old Edwardians won at Martley to stay three points behind.

Barnards Green jumped above Himbleton by beating Old Hill, who will probably be relegated along with their third XI.

Elsewhere, Cleobury Mortimer beat Ross-on-Wye, while Halesowen and Hanley Castle and Upton failed to start their match.
