A WINNING draw for Pershore against Old Hill took them eight points clear of Halesowen in fourth place in Birmingham Cricket League Division Two.

In Pershore’s total of 202-9 declared in 48 overs Adam Wiffen hit 70 off 67 balls and Liam Ridings scored 76 from 143 balls.

Nigel Davenport took 3-50 and Zahid Kafiat took 3-51 for Hill who reached 62-2 in the 20 overs that allowed the game to become live.

A Worcestershire duo starred for Shrewsbury as they closed on the Premier Division top two with a nine-wicket demolition of West Bromwich Dartmouth.

Shrewsbury dismissed Dartmouth for 174 in 46.3 overs and then an opening stand of 154 between Will Parton (98) and the County's Oliver Westbury (64 not out) saw them cruise to victory with 16 balls in hand.
