Fans out in force for season's finale

Out in force: Supporters hired a coach for the the trip to Rushall.

IT was party time for Evesham's loyal supporters last Saturday when more than 30 travelled by coach, subsidised by chairman Jim Cockerton, for the final match and a similar number made their way to Dales Lane in cars.

Flags and banners greeted the United players at kick-off as the relaxed atmosphere saw both sharing banter on a day of championship cheer.

The final whistle and subsequent trophy presentation prompted jubilant scenes with players, management, club officials and supporters all getting their hands on the silverware.

There was certainly a real sense of camaraderie as the champagne again flowed on an afternoon that more than matched the joyous celebrations of seven days earlier.
