SIMON de Montfort Middle School's Under-11 footballers have had double reason to celebrate after victory in the South Worcestershire Schools Sports Association District 11-a-side tournament while also progressing to the County Cup final after defeating Easter Westacre Middle School.
In the District event, Simon De Montfort overcame Blackminster 2-0 in their first game, before losing 2-0 to Bredon Hill in their final pool game.
They then faced St Egwin's when a fine all-round display saw the Four Pools boys book a final date with Bredon Hill.
A tense final ensued with the scores tied at 1-1 entering the final few minutes until a fine strike ensured a 2-1 victory for Simon De Montfort.
