THIS year is the 30th in the history of the Parish Games and the committee is hoping that even more Wychavon Parishes will enter even more events in pursuit of the title champion parish.
In 1978, the Games were started as a trial when the winners were Pershore with Evesham in second place.
With 13 events ranging from cross country running to rounders and darts to table tennis, the Games encouraged friendly rivalry and inter-action between parishes for people of all ages.

Two years ago, Bretforton were the winners ahead of Crowle, while Evesham Bengeworth won last year when they edged out the holders. Who will take the crown in 2008?
For information on entering your parish or individual teams, contact Sue Collins on 01905 841269.
This year's events kick off with the Bell Boating on June 28 when no experience is required and all equipment will be supplied.
