PERSHORE Town rounded off a difficult Midland Combination season with a 4-0 Premier Division defeat at Brocton.
The King George's Playing Field side had high hopes of promotion after making a flying start under Neil Hunt despite having to play their opening ten matches away from home.
Hunt's subsequent resignation ended any hopes of a rise in status and consolidation was needed.

Ian Ford was brought in to steady the ship and he did just that as Coleshill Town and Highgate United fought it out for the title eventually won by Town after a 3-1 win at Cadbury Athletic last Saturday.
Town's last match reverse and three-point deduction earlier in the season cost the club a possible fourth place finish but officials will be hoping to make a better crack of a championship challenge next winter.
Second division Littleton will also be hoping for improvement but they could end a disappointing season with some silverware when they play host to Halfords on Saturday (3pm) in the Evesham Hospital Junior Cup final.
