Hackett's men on a high

STOURBRIDGE will join Evesham United in the British Gas Southern League Premier Division following Saturday's Play-off Final success at Leamington.

Gary Hackett's men were grateful to Leon Broadhurst who netted the winner three minutes before the end of extra-time after the two sides had been locked together at 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes in front of a crowd of more than 1,600.

Also joining the Robins in the top flight will be Oxford City who defeated Uxbridge by the only goal of their divisional final - a section topped by Farnborough.

Team Bath will join Premier champions Kings Lynn in Blue Square South next season after a late goal earned a 2-1 victory over Halesowen Town.

The three teams relegated from Blue Square North have yet to be confirmed with Sutton United, Dorchester and Weston-super-Mare occupying the bottom three slots.

Weston could yet be saved if Cambridge City's appeal against demotion as a result of ground grading fails.

Ben Mackey who scored Leamington's goal last weekend took his Division One Midlands tally for the season to 24 one more than Mark Owen who was four behind leading pair Dean Perrow (Chasetown) and Chesham United's Danny Burnell.
