OULTON Park was the Bank Holiday weekend destination for Evesham racer Michael Elliott who was in action in round three of the National Superstock Series.
The Cheshire circuit is regarded as being a very technical track and particularly difficult to learn and, after tough qualifying sessions, Elliott had to settle for a start from row ten on the grid.
Weather conditions were near perfect for Monday's race day and, as the flag dropped, the Vale rider made a good start and by half race distance was up to 31st place.

At speeds exceeding 140mph and with just inches separating competitors, Elliott was made to work hard over 15 laps of the 2.69-mile circuit but was rewarded with an eventual 26th place finish.
