MANAGER Paul Collicutt says Evesham United are in “good spirits” for tomorrow’s FA Trophy derby against higher-graded Redditch United at the Jubilee Stadium (3pm).

The Robins warmed up for the first qualifying round showdown with a 4-1 victory at Mangotsfield United in Southern League Division One South and West.

Adam Mann was Evesham’s hat-trick hero on Tuesday with Sean Wood also on target, as the visitors climbed to eighth spot.

Redditch are third in the Premier Division and won 1-0 at Leamington on Tuesday.

Evesham stunned Redditch in the FA Cup last season, winning 1-0 in a replay at the Valley Stadium.

“The lads are going into the game in good spirits and it will be an interesting test for us,” said Collicutt.

“We played Redditch in the FA Cup last season and the year before that they thrashed us 5-2 in the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup final.

“There’s a lot of history between the clubs over many years. I am hoping we will get a good crowd at the Jubilee Stadium and continue our excellent run.”

Defender Liam Harding and midfielder Nick Stanley are injury doubts for Evesham.
