IN-FORM Evesham United will be out for revenge when they take on promotion-chasing Swindon Supermarine at the Webbs Wood Stadium tonight (7.45pm).

The Robins lost 1-0 to Swindon at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium in August and manager Paul Collicutt said his players, who claimed a memorable 3-0 victory over leaders Cinderford on Saturday, are determined to get one over on their opponents.

“Swindon are in the top six and they have already beaten us this season, so we have got to go there and do exactly what we did on Saturday, which was work hard throughout the 90 minutes,” he said.

“If we can do that, there is a very good chance we can come away with a positive result.”

Evesham’s win over Cinderford was among a string of impressive results against the league’s top six sides this season.

But Collicutt said it was now important his side, who are on an eight-match unbeaten streak in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West, produced the goods against teams they are expected to beat.

“We seem to be doing things the hard way at the minute,” he said.

“Teams we are expected to go and get three points against, we haven’t, and teams where you think you would be happy to come away with a draw, we have been successful.

“The one thing we have got to do now is play the same against sides in the bottom half as we do against teams in the top five or six.”
