EVESHAM United’s end-of-season plans have been hit by injuries to current and prospective players.

Wide man Lewis Binns is unlikely to feature in the run-in with hope of a new signing seemingly dashed by similar problems.

“It looks like Lewis’s season is written off now,” said manager Paul Collicutt.

“He could be heading for surgery on his ankle. There are plans for him to have an MRI scan to show the exact damage.

“That will be a big loss to us. We had hoped he would get better but he works as a physio and knows a thing or two, he knew it didn’t feel right and so it has proved.

“I had hoped to bring in a player but he has picked up an injury himself over the past week or so and it looks like it may not happen.

“I am keeping my ear to the ground to see what we might be able to do. For now, we will go with what we have.”
