PERSHORE High Old Boys' 4-2 defeat at Eckington has seriously dented their Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division One title hopes.

Haynes and Worthington scored for Old Boys but Eckington took the points with goals from McDonald, Bostock, Andrews and Hughes.

Fladbury Athletic edged out Defford/Besford United 3-2 through Hall (2) and Clements with Lloyd and Clayton replying.

Broadway United defeated Bear 3-2 as Phil Davies scored twice for the Evesham side only for Jason Horsburgh, Hopkins and Brandon Parker to strike. Veteran player-manager Rich Lewis netted for Mickleton Rangers but visitors Evesham WMC won thanks to an Elliott Grady hat-trick.

Division Three leaders Alcester Town dropped their first points of the season as second-placed Fairfield closed the gap, winning 3-0 with goals from Scrivens, Corr and Egosta.

Inkberrow, in third, thumped Dragons, hitting 13 with Steele (5), Meigh (3), Grant (3) and Firkin on target alongside an own goal.

Basement side Broadway United Reserves picked up three valuable points, winning 6-2 at Anchor Harriers with Richard Craig hitting four and Berryman two. Hoots and Betts replied.

Ambassador moved second in Division Four with a seven-goal win at Fortis, thanks to Stuart Reading (3), Unwin, Schembri, Booth and Boulter.

Sun Inn stepped up their promotion bid with a narrow 3-2 win over high-flying Pebworth. Allen, Major and Steger scored for Sun and Pebworth replied with a Grey brace.Philpott hit all the goals for Harvington in their 6-1 win over Bengeworth, who grabbed a consolation through Andrews.

Tewkesbury Town opened up a four-point lead at the top of Division Two with a 5-2 victory at Evesham United Harriers.

Petitt (3), Jordan and Halling scored for Town with Gary Dyke netting twice for Harriers, while a first-half Burrows strike earned Offenham Rovers the points at home to Bredon.

The previous weekend, top-scorer Mark Bellamy (2), Shepherd, Roberts and Goddard fired Pinvin United's five-goal Division One victory over Defford/ Besford. Boulton, Clarke, Brown and Gayton scored for Bretforton Old Boys with Fladbury replying through Jervis, Hurcombe, Beattie and Hall in a 4-4 draw.

Tewkesbury Town registered a resounding 14-0 win over Evesham United Harriers through Petitt (4), Jordan (3), Brazdys (2), Halling (2), Compton, Buckley and Driscoll.Alderton enjoyed a 3-1 victory at Bredon as Matt Greaves fired a hat-trick and Offenham Rovers hit eight without reply against Cidermill thanks to Hall (3), Burrows (2), Reeves, Hickman and Tustin.
