LITTLETON moved to the top of Midland Football League Division One with a 1-0 win over Hinckley.
They recorded a fifth consecutive victory after beating their well-supported visitors with a goal from Will Gayton.
Littleton defended against a stiff wind in the first-half and were put under severe pressure.
But a composed performance by keeper Haydn Whitcombe and resolute defending kept the scores level at half-time.
Littleton could have bagged two goals in the first five minutes of the second period when both Gayton and Tom Allard headed over the bar.
Hinckley had a golden chance on 65 minutes but their striker fired over from close range.
A minute later, Gayton scored the only goal with a powerful shot after cutting inside from the left.
Littleton saw a penalty saved after Jamie Clarke was fouled on 75 minutes but held on for the three points.
They visit Atherstone Town on Saturday (3pm).
