HARVINGTON consolidated second place in Division Four of the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League after a 6-0 victory against Pebworth.

The village team are having their best season since forming three years ago, and were led by Woodfield (3), Dalloway (2) and Philpot.

Leaders Tewkesbury Town won 5-3 against Fortis, with Dyson (2), England and Kavanagh on target for Town, with Rainey, Wallace and Paul replying for Fortis.

Stour Excelsior Res picked up their second win of the season with a 3-0 win over Dragons after strikes from Gregg, Carter and Mumford. Bengeworth won 3-1 at Ambi Allsports with goals from Andrew, Jelfs and Iorns.

In Division Three, Ecosamba closed the gap on the leaders with an 8-0 win over Ambassador with Loveridge (2), Meah, Newman and Monk among the scorers.

Badsey Recreation recovered from the previous week’s defeat to 4-1 win at Sun Inn with goals from Attwood, Banning, Bishop and Brown.

Inkberrow reached the last eight of the Bluck Cup by thrashing Charlton Old Boys 5-1 with goals from Bloomfield (2), Grant, Firkin and Sheen. Andy Clements replied for Charlton.

Alcester Town returned to the top of Division Two with an emphatic 8-0 win at Offenham Rovers after strikes from Mumford (3), Richardson (2), Price, Webb and Dance.

Jacksons Fairfield moved level with Bredon, who are in second place, after a convincing 6-1 success against Defford/Besford United with Heritage (2), Scrivens and Corr among the scorers.

Matt Greaves hit four goals for Alderton in their best performance of the season to win 5-1 at Mickleton Rangers. Stocks added a fifth goal for Alderton, with Moore netting a consolation for Rangers.

Division One joint-leaders Bear continue their stuttering form.

A goal from youngster Luke Sallis was enough for Broadway United to earn a second 1-0 win over their opponents this season Bretforton Old Boys moved into title contention with a 5-0 win over bottom club Eckington with goals from Clarke (2), Reeves, Edgehill and Richardson.

Pinvin United won 3-2 in an entertaining game at WMK. Lamb, Bellamy and Bulford were on target for Pinvin with Wiggins and Pritchard replying for WMK.

Only two league teams progressed in the WFA County Cups, Fladbury Athletic reached the last eight of the Sunday Junior Cup with a 5-0 win at Plough Dukes. Evesham WMC lost 3-2 to Areley Kings.

In the Sunday Minor Cup, Bredon went through to the last 16 with a 6-0 win at Hylton Road Rovers.

Cidermill and Tesco Utd crashed out of the competition on penalties, while Ruby Jacks were trounced 15-1 by Bartley Green Illey.
