LITTLETON continued their run of Midland League Division One away games when they visited Coventry Copsewood for a 3-1 defeat.
The game was not a classic as a strong wind and bobbly pitch made sure of that.
The first half-hour was pretty even with the hosts probably having more of the play but Littleton were coping well with their pacy forwards.
However, this changed on the half-hour mark when Liam Cains converted for Coventry from close range.
Five minutes later, Littleton equalised. A through-ball from Joey Smith found James Schembri, who converted from close range.
On the stroke of half-time, Littleton's Tim Beattie was sent off for a second bookable offence after kicking the ball away.
This meant Littleton had to re-organise and for 25 minutes they coped well but were undone by a header from a free-kick on 70 mins by Craig Civzelis.
Littleton then had to push men forward and Kyonn Evans twice went close.
However, a third goal from subsitute Petajon Gordon sealed their fate on 87 minutes.
Pershore Town’s Division One clash at Cadbury Athletic was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Pershore host Vale rivals Littleton on Saturday (11.30am).
