PERSHORE Town beat neighbours Littleton 3-1 in the Vale derby at the Winstanley and Co King George V Stadium.

An entertaining game, watched by 112 fans, saw the visitors enjoy the better chances in the opening 20 minutes.

Staurt Hall missed from close range and former Town player Dane Aldington headed wide.

But Pershore got more into the game as it went on and took the lead in the 38th minute.

A flowing move involving Steve Webb, Connor Trotman and Zach Blood finally found Joe Walsh, who scored with a low drive under the keeper from just inside the box.

Walsh grabbed his second before half-time with a curving free-kick from wide of the penalty area that went through a crowd of players into the far corner.

The second period saw Littleton captain Callum Clarke receive a second yellow card as the visitors lost their composure.

Pershore dominated the game afterwards with a third goal in the 59th minute scored by Joe Robinson.

He beat the keeper from close range having been set up by Blood.

The hosts created several good opportunities to increase their lead as substitutes George Coley and Ashley Booth caused problems.

But Littleton scored a consolation with 15 minutes left when another ex-Town player Will Gayton netted a penalty after Pershore's Dave Williams grappled with a striker in the area.

Fourth-from-bottom Town have collected seven from a possible nine points, while Littleton are eighth after dropping off the leading pace.
