WORCESTER City are not certain to be playing at Aggborough next season after revealing they are looking at other options for a ground-share deal.

City have been tenants at Kidderminster Harriers for two seasons but their existing deal is up for renewal at the end of the current campaign.

Talks are on-going over extending the agreement but the exiled Blue and Whites, who have to notify the Football Conference of their venue for home matches in March, are considering other locations.

While Harriers are the preferred choice, officials are keen to check out Evesham United, Redditch United and Bromsgrove Sporting.

However, a deal with Worcester Warriors at Sixways is not thought to be on their list and they have dismissed playing at Edgar Street, the home of the now defunct Hereford United.

City left St George’s Lane in June 2013 and plans from the supporters’ trust to build a new stadium at Perdiswell are still to be submitted to Worcester City Council.

Sharing with Harriers, which costs City around £2,000 per game, has proved beneficial for the Conference North club with good transport links keeping attendances up, considering fans have to travel across the county.

It has also allowed manager Carl Heeley to attract players to a Football League standard ground.

But this season has seen problems with the pitch, despite Harriers spending £50,000 on summer drainage work, and that is likely to be an area of discussion between the clubs.

Redditch’s Valley Stadium hosted Conference North football in 2011 but neither Evesham’s Jubilee Stadium or Sporting’s Victoria Ground have the required grading and would need improvements.
