PERSHORE Town lost 4-1 to big-spenders Hinckley in Midland League Division One at the 2020SolarPV Stadium.

An even first period saw the visitors take the lead after 24 minutes with a long-range shot from Luke Richards.

Two goals in six second-half minutes, the first from ex-Worcester City striker Marco Adaggio and the other a deflected free-kick, left the hosts with an uphill battle.

The eighth-placed visitors scored again but fourth-from-bottom Town created chances with subs Jon Speak and Jacob Snape going close.

Snape scored a consolation for Town in the 88th minute, heading in Danny Carter’s cross.

Dean Spiers netted as Worcester side Perrywood won 1-0 at Badsey Rangers for their first Division Three victory of the season.

Malvern Town under-21s climbed West Midlands League Division Two with a 3-1 win at Tipton Youth.

They started slowly after making various changes due to illness and injury and fell behind but soon levelled through forward Dan Stowe.

Debutant James Fulton put Malvern ahead and defender Adam Sauntson made it 3-1 at half-time with Stowe playing a role in both goals.

Malvern defended well and keeper Toby Wilcox helped secure the three points.
