DIVISION Two side Cropthorne produced one of the shocks of the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League season, defeating top-flight champions Bretforton Old Boys 1-0 in the Express-Funding Mick Godwin Cup semi-finals.

Cropthorne put in a superb performance and were justly rewarded when a second-half Boother strike earned a famous victory.

Treble-seeking New Inn Pershore sealed promotion from Division Two with a 7-0 win at Bredon through Ballard (2), Miller (2), Rushton, Moore and Lloyd.

Sun Inn came back from four down to earn a point from a 4-4 draw at Badsey Recreation.

Goals from Attwood, Benfield, Smith and Conway put the hosts in command before the Winchcombe team struck back through Moore, Stratford, Major and Davis.

Stour Excelsior are guaranteed their highest Division One finish with a 3-0 win over Inkberrow thanks to goals from Godson, Layton and Harris.

The Shipston side are guaranteed at least third place with a game to play.

Alderton and Bretforton Old Boys Reserves will meet in the Pershore Hospital Minor Cup final following respective 2-1 and 4-2 wins over Droitwich Spa Eagles and Harvington.

Sunday sees the first league final of the season with the Bluck Cup between Broadway United Reserves and Bretforton Old Boys Reserves at Evesham United (5pm).
