EVESHAM WMC lifted the Evesham Mechanical Services Knockout Cup by defeating New Inn Pershore 3-1 on penalties after the two sides drew 2-2 in a final of three red cards.

After a poor first half the Workies took the lead through White only for Rushton to level within five minutes.

An Elliot Grady penalty eight minutes from time looked to have earned the Workies the win only for Ballard to level in injury-time which was no more than Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Two side New Inn deserved.

It was left to Workies goalkeeper Sam Ford to be the hero, saving three spot-kicks in the shoot-out.

The Evesham Hospital Sunday Junior Cup final will be on Sunday at Evesham United's Jubilee Stadium between Bretforton Old Boys and Evesham WMC (6.30pm).

The Evesham Hospital Saturday Junior Cup final between Inkberrow and Redditch Borough will be at the same venue on Thursday, May 11 (7.30pm).
