YOUNG striker Aaron Brett hit a hat-trick as Worcester City thrashed pre-season friendly hosts Pershore Town 7-0 in a Worcestershire derby.

Mike Wright and experienced forward Lee Hughes put City 2-0 up at half-time at their Midland League Division One opponents, striking in the 17th and 42nd minutes respectively.

Brett netted in the 52nd, 57th and 70th minutes with fellow substitute James Baldwin bagging a brace in the 59th and 64th minutes at King George V Stadium.

City: Gwynne, Burrell, Griffiths, Weir, Khan, Hayward, Birley, Birch, Hughes, Wright, Smith. Substitutes: Baldwin, Harris-James, Molloy, Newman, Yeomans, Brett, Harper, Tilbury, Sinclair.

City visit Worcester Raiders' Claines Lane ground for a pre-season derby on Monday (7.15pm).

Meanwhile, Kidderminster Harriers romped to an 8-0 pre-season win at neighbours Stourport Swifts with forward Joe Ironside scoring four goals.

Ironside put Harriers ahead in the ninth minute at Walshes Meadow before they ran away with the second half.

Ryan Croasdale, Sam Austin, Andre Brown and Liam Truslove were also on target.
