PERSHORE Town Football Club suffered a double blow on their travels.
They crashed 4-1 at Uttoxeter Town in Total Motion Midland League Division One last weekend with Callum Devlin scoring.
Kyle Esplin bagged a hat-trick for Uttoxeter with Sam Agar also on target as the visitors had Daniel Priest sent off.
Pershore then were unable to make the most of their Buildbase FA Vase reprieve with a 6-2 defeat at higher-ranked Highgate United.
Town led twice through Jamie Clarke and Pawel Tomczak but Highgate’s extra quality shone through in the end in the second qualifying round tie.
Pershore had lost on penalties in the previous round at Whitchurch Allport who were then kicked out of the competition due to an administrative error on a player’s registration.
Fifth-from-bottom Town visit Walsall Wood in the league on Saturday (3pm).
