BROMSGROVE Sporting’s Sean Brain helped to seal a somewhat inevitable title triumph for Bretforton Old Boys in the Evesham Sunday League Division One.

Brain bashed in four goals with Sam Beddoes also on the score sheet as Old Boys maintained a 100 per cent record by overcoming Offenham Rovers 5-4.

Doubles from Nick Burrows and Alex Trinder proved academic as Bretforton’s quest for a four-trophy haul this season.

There was another thriller as Broadway United played out a 4-4 draw with Tewkesbury Town.

Dave Cooper (2), Sam Hopkins and Ben Clifton netted for Broadway with Andrew Pepperell (2), Matt Tarling and Jamie Moore ensuring that was not enough for maximum spoils.

There was another share of the spoils as New Inn Pershore drew 1-1 with Inkberrow. Kyle Ballard’s goal for New Inn was cancelled out by Alex Bullock.

Alderton sit top of Division Two after a 1-0 win at Sun Inn, while Badsey Recreation rallied to a 5-1 victory over Fortis at the other end of the table.

Ryan Attwood (2), Charlie Banning, Conor Wilson and Stuart Davis scored for Badsey with Jonathan Wallace on target for Fortis.

Ambi Allsports dented Ashton 88’s Division Three promotion bid with a surprise 4-1 win.

Billy Wilkinson, Will Johns, Gary Booth and Max Tarry scored to secure the shock but second-placed Stour Excelsior reserves failed to take full advantage, losing 1-0 at home to Dragons.

Goals from Will McGarr (3) and Ryan Upson helped TDMS Evesham overcome Alcester Town 4-1.

Holders Broadway United reserves got knocked out of the Bluck Cup by TDMS Harvington 4-1.

Luke Woodfield (2), Jay Bunn and Chris Johnson scored the goals and they are joined by Stratford HGC in the semi-finals after George Spilsbury (2), Dan Drake and Dave Veitch scored in a 4-1 success over Cropthorne. Bretforton Old Boys reserves won 2-0 at Charlton Fladbury.

Evesham WMC reached the last eight of the Mick Godwin Cup with an emphatic 12-1 win over Fairfield Titans.

Elliot Grady (4), Dom Hartland (3), Sam Ford (2), Ryan Dixon (2) and James White netted. Steven Visor got the consolation.
