EVESHAM United plan a double swoop for attacking options after discovering striker Lewis Powell could be injured for another six weeks.

Powell’s MRI scan showed a tear near the top of his hip with his absence expected to last for at least another month.

With Aysa Corrick heading through the door, Collicutt admitted he had made moves for two unnamed frontrunners in the hope of securing both in time for Saturday’s Southern League West trip to Kidlington (3pm).

“Lewis Powell is going to miss anything from four to six weeks and Lewis Binns is struggling with his ankle,” said Collicutt.

“Joe Turley’s leg has flared up a bit but we hope that will settle for him to play a part. Andy Lewis has had a knock but we are optimistic about him being back.

“I am hoping to sign two lads, one on loan. They are both quite flexible in terms of where they play in attacking areas.

“It is a case of trying to boost the numbers. We are carrying a few knocks at the minute and were down to the bare bones on Saturday.

“If we can bring in one or two, it will be a big help at an important point in the season for us.”
